Most canvas patches run $60 – $150, depending on the size of the damage and where it is on the tent. Zippers, stove jacks, window flaps, and sleeves are quoted by the job, since every tent is built a little differently. Text a photo and you’ll have a real number within 24 hours. Most tears patch clean, and most tents are worth saving. It depends on where the damage is and how the canvas around it is holding up. If a panel has rotted or the fabric is too weak to hold a stitch, I’ll tell you straight rather than sew something that won’t last.
Yes. Patches are cut from canvas matched to your tent’s weight and color as closely as I can get it. Older canvas that has faded in the sun won’t be a perfect color match with new fabric, and I’ll tell you up front how close it will look.
Pickup and return are free in Montrose, Olathe, and Delta. Ridgway, Ouray, Telluride, Grand Junction, Gunnison, and the rest of the Western Slope are covered by pickup routes for a small fee — text to schedule. Farther out than that, you can ship the tent in.
The shop is in Delta, and pickup and return are free here and in Olathe and Montrose. Tents come in from all over the rest of the Western Slope too: Ridgway, Ouray, and Telluride to the south, Gunnison to the east, and Grand Junction to the northwest. Those areas are covered by pickup routes for a small fee, or you can drop the tent at the shop on your way through.
If you’re farther out than that, the tent can ship in. Mail-in repair works from anywhere in the country, and I call before anything ships.
