A tipi came in with extensive damage after a bear and a moose tore into it, leaving a lot of holes and torn seams throughout the canvas. Stitched everything back together panel by panel to bring it back to like-new condition.
Went section by section across the tipi to assess and repair each tear and hole, since animal damage like this tends to be scattered rather than in one spot. Used hand-stitching in tighter or more delicate areas and machine-stitching where the canvas allowed, reinforcing grommet points that had been stressed or torn out in the process.
With damage spread across so much of the tipi from two different animals, the scope of the repair was the main challenge — every torn section needed to be brought back to full strength so the tipi would hold up in the field again, not just look repaired
