Customer brought in a blank bag along with a collection of national park patches she'd gathered over the years and wanted them all sewn on. Arranged and attached every patch so the bag now tells the story of everywhere she's traveled.
Worked with the customer to lay out all the patches on the bag first and figure out placement before stitching anything down, since the arrangement mattered as much as the patches themselves. Went patch by patch, choosing hand-stitching for smaller or awkwardly shaped patches and machine-stitching where the bag surface allowed, keeping edges secure so nothing would catch or peel with regular use.
With that many patches going onto one bag, planning the layout so they fit well together and didn't overcrowd or overlap awkwardly took some back and forth with the customer. Each patch also needed clean, secure stitching so the bag could hold up to real use afterward, not just sit on a shelf.
