A set of stools needed completely new covers built from scratch. Sewed new covers with boxing and top stitching for a clean finished edge, steamed the foam to shape, and added fresh dacron for a smooth final look.
Built the new covers with boxed sides and top stitching for a tailored, upholstered look rather than a simple slip cover. Steamed the foam to get it seated and shaped correctly, then wrapped it in new dacron before pulling the finished cover over tight and clean.
Getting the boxing and top stitching to sit clean and even on a round stool top, while making sure the steamed foam and dacron gave a smooth, bump-free finish underneath, took some careful fitting.
