Customer's snowmobile seat had worn foam and cover panels that needed a full rebuild. Stripped the old cover down to its individual panels, drafted new patterns from them, and rebuilt the seat with new foam and a fresh cover fitted to match the original shape exactly.
Took the old cover apart panel by panel to use as patterns, since a two-seater cover has a lot of separate pieces that all have to line up right when it's sewn back together. Cut fresh foam to replace what had broken down, then sewed each panel in sequence, fitting and checking against the seat pan as I went so the final cover pulled on tight and clean with no gaps or puckering.
The seat had several different panels that all needed to be stripped, patterned, and sewn separately, then brought back together to fit the original contour exactly. Getting that many pieces to align through the sewing process — especially over new foam with a different feel than the old, broken-down foam — was the trickiest part of the job.
