Customer wanted a custom bug net built for the back of his Land Rover to keep bugs out with the rear open. Designed and built a fitted net from scratch, using magnets along the sides so it holds snug against the vehicle's body without any hardware installed.
Spent time measuring and test-fitting directly on the vehicle since there was no existing pattern to work from, checking the fit against the door frame and opening from multiple angles. Sewed in magnets along the side edges so the net seals against the Land Rover's frame without any drilling or permanent hardware, adjusting the pattern over several fittings until it hung and sealed right.
With no template to start from, getting the shape and magnet placement right took a lot of trial and error — nearly three weeks of measuring, test-fitting, and adjusting before the net hung correctly and sealed well enough to actually keep bugs out.
